I felt bad giving it away. I might just make a hobby of restoring old tools I buy off craigslist.

Do you collect axes or was this a one time thing ?

It was a one time thing. My boss is into forestry and homesteading so I thought that I restored tool would be a great going away gift. This just happened to be on sale on my local craigslist.
Now I’m eyeing this meat cleaver: https://maine.craigslist.org/tls/d/antique-cleaver/6739071037.html

Yeah I don’t collect axes either... (slowly closes the door to room full of axes)
That looks like a good deal. I don’t know much about cleavers, but I’ve seen some sell for close to $100 restored.
